We have so many dvd's that are scratched. It's a shame since I spent so much over the years but no matter how many times I tell my kids, they will still leave discs all over and not in the cases.
So I bought this dvd repair kit which had good reviews. People claimed that their dvd's which were previously scratched are now working. I've tried to repair a few but they are still scratched and getting stuck. Has anyone had this? Is there anything else to do?

I never had luck fixing very scratched dvds. I tried one kit I bought, and also tried the tooth paste method. Could be they help for minor scratches. But I've found that a simple cleaning helps if there is not real damage - wipe well with a wet cloth and let dry. I also found that audio CDs tend to be less of a problem.
I know, it's so frustrating.

I'm wondering if anyone tried a brand of a dvd repair machine that they are happy with. Maybe I could return mine.
