I saw this advertised somewhere so figured I'd post here.
8 yr. old Jewish Child for Adoption There is an 8 year old Jewish child up for adoption. If they can't find a Jewish home the child will be adopted by non-Jews. If you know an interested party please call Rabbi Shimoni at 732-236-9695 (posted 6/23)

I just called it is a boy but other than that they have no information.

He is in the care of the state of NJ.

I told him I am in Canada and he didn't say that it was a problem. I woudl imagine as long as you are willing to go to Nj for the interviews etc it won't be a problem.

It's in the general "Do a mitzvah" listings. I would call,as we're looking to adopt, but I guess if he in NJ, they will only consider families in that area.

He just faxed me the application but it didn't coem through properly. We are in Canada so midwest I suggest you call! I don't think we will apply. Although I really want a boy He is the same age as my daughter.

Does a/one have updates? When I called (I had a possible home) they didn't want to say why he was in the custody of the state. I needed to know if he or his parents had mental illness issues or if there was abuse. I wonder what happened
