Hi. I was wondering, is there any place that I can call in London that would deliver a platter of donuts as a gift?

Whereabout in London? NW (Golders Green/Hendon/Edgware), Stamford Hill, or somewhere else? I'm not aware of particular bakeries that would do gift deliveries but no harm calling them to see if they would. To be honest I've never seen anyone selling 'gift wrapped' doughnuts, they all come in plain white bakery cardboard box.

or try catering companies. Adafina does pastry gift, Jasmine is affiliated with Carmelli bakery, or Daniels bakery also has a catering division. Though I suspect the latter two would more likely do a large-ish platter.

Hi. As Mrs Bisilli says, Doughnuts don't normally come in a platter but a large box altho I'm sure you could call and ask.
Try these and if they don't deliver ask them if you can send a cab to collect and speak to Emess Car service I'm sure they'd be able to help :

Parkway Patisserie +44 20 8346 0344

Bonjour +44 20 8203 8848

Indigs +44 20 8806 3321

Emess Car Service +44 20 8211 7755

(I am in no way affiliated to any of these just recommending)

Carmelli and grodzinskis also have good doughnuts.

I'm pretty sure I've seen one bakery offering a catering service - maybe carmellis? Platters of sandwhiches etc. So I'm sure they could arrange a platter of doughnuts.

Great. Thanks for all the replies. My husband keeps explaining to me that donut and breakfast deliveries are cultural in the states but not in England but you never know.

I ended up emailing Carmellis and they delivered it for me by taxi and I reimbursed them for the taxi fare. It's good to know that they do this and their pastries are heavenly.

Thanks to all who posted.

I would accept a carmellis delivery any day, on a platter or in a box or in a plain old shopping bag. Smile

Yup, our household consensus is Carmelli is the best, esp their caramel ones and milky fresh cream.
