I had four mini doughnuts. Does that count as two or four?

The problem is that they are charging for them as if they were full sized doughnuts. 10 Shekel for a doughnut, no matter how intricately decorated and 'gourmet', is a lot of 'dough'. Truth is I actually prefer the simple jelly ones but even they seem smaller this year. |
They'll charge whatever they can get away with. I didn't check any of the 5-shekel stores in Jerusalem yet- maybe one of them has decent-tasting sufganiot.
I voted 1-3- we got them free with a takeout meal (would rather not say what restaurant on the main forum).

There's a huge range of prices. Rami Levy sells the plain red jelly doughnuts mass produced by anonymous factories for half a shekel and Mickey Shemo has really fancy ones for over 15 shekel. Roladin's fancy ones are 10 shekel and the regular ones by the big bakeries like Angel and Berman are like 5 shekel.
I just had my third and final half doughnut for this chag.
It was a fancy one with butterscotch filling from English Cake - 8 shekel per smallish doughnut.
My conclusion: a doughnut is a doughnut is a doughnut, (emphasis on the dough) no matter how you glaze it.
I rather spend my money and calories on other goodies. Onwards now to Purim....

Had this poll been last year or earlier, I would've voted 10 or more. This year I deserve a hand- I had 0 doughnuts this chanukah!
