Hi all!
It's my first time making chulent tomorrow and I'm looking for a yummy barley chulent recipe (I don't really like the red kidney beans)
I want it with barley, meat, bones, potatoes etc. what spices/sauces go in?
I also am not the BBQ flavor type of chulent person.
Anyone have a yummy recipe?? Also, how do you prevent it from coming out too dry? Putting more water?
Thanks all in advance for tips and recipes

This is what I do every week :
1/2 pack chulent mix
1 potato
3/4 handful of barley
1-2 flanken
I put half water and half oil so it should cover the beans by a half a inch
1/2 tbs salt
Black pepper
Red pepper
It's a very basic recipe and I tweak it a lot of times
Regarding preventing getting it dried out , water is the trick
