This is more for the older crowd (30's and up).
For those of us who didn't grow up with internet, do you remember what your first-ever search was? Mine was "William Shakespeare." Probably on AltaVista (Or Yahoo? How long has that been around?)

1983, probably financial since that's what I was doing at the time. BigFoot was one of the first search engines I used. Most of the time I used searches that were available on IPS, there were no links and searches could take all day long. You had to find a domain to search first, which was time consuming. If the domain wasn't searchable with BigFoot you would have to use IPS configurations. IIRC your searches had to be very specific and you used boolean searches. It was all dial up. So everything was slow.

I don't remember what it was, but I'm pretty sure it was some inconsequential little tidbit that's now blurred somewhere in the recesses of my mind among all the other stuff that just sits around in there.

I'm young (ish) and I didn't grow up with Internet. My first search on my cousins computer was the word autism. I was just so amazed at the flow of information at my fingertips. Thank you google.

I don't remember what the search was, but it was the early 90's and I was a tween. I believe the search engine was through AOL though I could be wrong. I still remember the "you've got mail" voice.
