I do not have grill or grill pan but would love my chicken to be flavorful and charred like a grill....anyone have ideas?

You can pan sear the chicken easily.

For thin cut or pounded chicken breast, I heat over high, add oil, then seasoned chicken. 3-4 minutes on first side (lower to medium while searing, as necessary) and 2-3 minutes on the second. Wrap if foil tightly to seal in juices.

It's certainly possible to make flavorful pan seared chicken.
However, I have an electric grill and I really love it. It is so easy to make chicken and grilled fish. I even do grilled veggies on it. They are relatively inexpensive.

Just buy a grill pan. I love mine. It was about $15, is very easy to clean, hardly takes up any space, and I can have mock-grilled chicken any time I want.
