Thinking about going in a few weeks for Shabbos. Anyone ever done it? How was? Any issue getting a low floor or finding the stairs?

Anon because I've been asking around. I've heard that people go for Shabbos but I can't find anyone who actually has!

I went to a different hotel this Shabbos. No problem getting down. We were in a penthouse suite. We had a great amazing time.

Just curious: What is there to do there? It seems like a very unshabbosdik atmosphere. Esp in winter, when you can't just stroll along the beach.

Not sure what OP has planned, but while I imagine the casino area is not very Shabbos-friendly, there is a very heimish, nice shul about 3/4 mile from the casinos. And even though it's not necessarily beach weather, Atlantic City tends to be milder in the winter than NYC/Philly (unless it's stormy, but at least no snow), so it can be pleasant enough to walk on the boardwalk.

(My in-laws have an apartment in Atlantic City, so we spend a lot of Shabbosim there just to have a change of pace. Unfortunately, there's no eruv, so it's hard with little kids.)

I always wonder though, what about checkout? Unless u stay until Sunday morning; most hotels have 12 pm checkout. So what does one do all afternoon in the hotel.
