Hi,
We don't do upsherins in our family, and my son's hair really needs to be cut. He's 16ms, k'naina hara, and I've trimmed his bangs, the back, near his ears, etc. His hair gets pretty frizzy/matted/tangled in the back (even though he sleeps on his stomach - so I'm not sure why), and I can't profess to being the most professional hair cutter (think: uneven cuts!). I also feel like spending a lot on a professional cut at such a young age would be ridiculous, and we'd be going back often; besides, I doubt he'd sit nicely.
Any ideas? From what I'm told, cutting it short (like an older boy's haircut) would not look normal on such a young kid (though a buzzer would seem to be easier).
Thanks!
