Anyone have good ideas? I am trying to wean my kids off of processed junk like hotdogs and chicken nuggets. Food that is heart healthy. But I need some good ideas for nts when I don't have much time.
And no fish please!
Tia!

Make homemade chicken nuggets. Cut chicken cutlets into small pieces, coat with egg (or jsut baste with some oil) then dip in cornflake crumbs. Drizzle honey on top. Bake for about 1/2 hour. Much healthier than pre-made store bought.
Another idea is to make large batches of meatballs or sloppy joe sauce and freeze. Then when you need a quick supper just pull out of the freezer and defrost.
Soups are also great to make ahead and freeze.
Chicken in the crockpot is also quick and easy. You can find many great recipes on this site or with a quick google search.
