Was by the dr today with ds 2 yrs old for an awful cough. Dr put him onto meds cuz he said it might be whooping cough and saline/nebulizer if it's only all coming from his nose. He keeps on choking on all his "junk" and from time to time vomits the "junk". I'm petrified to go to sleep let alone put ds to sleep. He's coughing more than breathing.

Put some towels or books under your dc's mattress to help raise it a bit safely. When your son wakes up spend some time in the bathroom with the hot shower on.

I did the hot shower thingy. Didn't help. It's supposed to for whopping cough?

Refuah shleima to your ds. I am NOT starting a vacination thread here, but I'm just wondering if your Dr prescribed antibiotics for anyone else in your house. If you are a family that doesn't vaccinate, or have a baby, who can't get the vacine yet, this could spread very quickly in your house or to others your ds was exposed to!
