Reb is a title like Mister, doesn't mean smicha like rabbi.
My FIL is a posek and gets 100s of phone calls. Whenever we get a phone call and someone asks for Rabbi H. My DH always says that is my father and his sheilah line is.... They quickly say they are looking first name. So he explains he isn't a rabbi.
He feels very strongly about misusing the title. But Reb is a different story.

Op here.....Sry for all those offended. My gosh.
Honestly I would call him this way way way faster than all these supposed rabbis in lakeowood.
And I feel he does a lot of good and is 100%deserving of title reb.
