Just to point out- for safety, if you have a traditional model that stands on the floor (as opposed to clipping onto a table or chair), it needs to have a wide enough base to be stable. Otherwise, a squirmy toddler may manage to tip it over.

I am happy with our Ikea high chair. It is non-bulky, easy to clean, doesn't take up a lot of visual space for sure. Cheap Smile

We use a booster seat that straps onto a regular chair. This way it doesn't take up any extra space, as baby gets older you can use it at the table without the tray, and if you need the extra chair for an adult you can just unstrap the booster.

We use this one http://www.amazon.com/Fisher-P.....seat. However, if it's within your budget I would recommend getting something more like this http://www.amazon.com/Fisher-P.....+seat as you then have the ability to recline it which is nice when baby is still little and just starting to eat.

I'll second the Ikea Antilop! Super-easy to wipe down, and you really can't beat the price. (I'll just point out that it isn't the most compact you can get, though you can disassemble it for storage between kids if need be and then it isn't too bulky.)

We have the Mamas and Papas Baby Bud. It's awesomely easy to clean, fits on any chair and great as a highchair replacement. We've never had a highchair and I have to say, we do not miss it. Everyone I know regrets getting a big highchair, they're always falling over the highchair legs and cleaning gunk out of the intricate crevices of the seat padding. Not with this one!

Yes, I never had a full high chair with my others and didn't miss it. Not sure why I am doubting myself now!
Wondering how hard this is to clean. I had the all plastic one with my others but this one looks more cozy. I definitely dont want to start machine washing it every other day, though

Love those two products.
We had the Fisher Price space saver with our first. Loved the hi chair and the fact that we were able to put our baby in it before she even sat up herself. But it didn't grow with her as we had hoped it would. Once she wanted to eat with us at the table without a tray (close to a year) we had to give it up because the seat was too high to fit under the table ledge. We seriously loved it other that. We gave it away when we were done with it.
For our next we planned on getting a full hi chair but saw the Fisher Price healthy care booster seat at our sitters house and saw how nicely our baby sat it from such a young age (I think 4 months) so we bought that to start with. And we're so happy with it that we never did get a bigger hi chair.

Ppl I know have the cosco high hair. I dont like it because the seat only has 1 position. But, it takes up very little space and folds well.

For cheap I would say Ikea Antilop, takes up very little floor space.

For more expensive but a super great highchair I would say Graco Contempo. When it's set up it's regular size, BUT it folds so easily and so compactly I would fold it after every use (and I'm not the type to do that so that really tells you how easy it is!). You can slide it into a very narrow space, like it might fit between your fridge and the wall, etc.

I have this one too. It takes up a lot of space when open, but very easily closes up completely flat. I open mine to feed the baby and close it up and leave it against the wall when done.
Using it for my third kid and it's still in perfect condition.

love it! stylish, practical, relatively inexpensive and folds pretty flat. it has a 5 point harness and reclinable seat the only thing is that the seat is fabric, not waterproof plastic or something.
