I have been desperately searching for a dress for my 6 year old daughter online preferably that doesn't need a shell but can't find a thing. I need it to be pretty dressy. It could have a short sleeve but not a cap sleeve but prefer 3/4 or long. I am OOT. Does anyone know of a nice website?

Just give up and go with the shells... alas it's a lost cause...

Yes.

Or, turn the dress inside out. Sew a puffy sleeve on. Turn the dress right side out again. It will only be hard the first time. Pre-wash the fabric before you do anything with it. A soft white fabric might go with anything. You can use a soft elastic, loose, at the wrist. The top of the sleeve, you gather a little, so it puffs. Sew lightly until you get it right; you can take it off and try again.

All that, the fabric and elastic, can be bought online. Or cut up a scarf.

This is the general idea:

We found things at Lord & Taylor (on sale) a few years ago. Maybe holiday dresses are on sale now?

This is a "Novice" pattern that might be useful. Craftsy has these "Novice" patterns. Even if you aren't a novice, simple is good.

Thanks Dolly. Pattern for dress is very cute. Maybe next time. This time I won't have time to make anything.

when you say "dressy" do you mean simcha or shabbos - and are you budgeted?

Simcha. Up to a $100 if I don't have to do anything to it.

sure they do - click on little girl in place of toddler

as for too short - 6X gives length to same size dress - generally speaking - but in this case the style - I agree - does appear too short
