DH, an Israel community kollel director, is asking if anyone knows of out-of-the-box lecturers or entertainers that other kollelim or yeshivos have had at their annual dinners.
We've had top rabbinical figures lecture. At times we've also had something different in addition, or instead, like a quality adult magician or a non-rabbinic Jewish lecturer, and of course, music. We've made videos. We've played quiz games.
Anything interesting out there?
DH doesn't want to fly anyone in. Rather, he wants to try to find ideas similar to chutz laaretz ideas that may be suggested.
Can't be too out of the box. Just captivating, but still appropriate for a community kollel.

I think it's always great to have a well made video to end the evening off or have playing throughout, with shots of the men learning, videos, maybe testimonials from wives and kids and really great music playing throughout. Spend some money and get it done professionally- It's worth it.
What are you doing about food? There is always room to have fun with that. Sushi station/ wine tasting/ salad bar/ pasta station/
Would you be looking to raise funds for the kollel?
What about setting up booths with wares from local businesses with proceeds to go to the kollel? You can also have a baked goods table
