Hi ladies! Any recommendations for walking shoes for Shabbos? We live like a mile and a half from Shul so I need something comfortable that will last. Also, if they are nicer looking that's a plus. Thanks!!

We live even further away from shul and I wear nice flats I got at Aerosoles. I really like this brand. In the winter, if it's really cold, I usually wear the same shoes as during the week because I only have one pair of boots, but if I would have the money I would get a pair of dressier boots, probably at Aerosoles.

The shoes I have are similar to these: http://www.aerosoles.com/store.....PHONE
I don't know if it's dressy enough for you.

If you have challenging feet, I recommend the best serious walking shoe that doesn't look like a sneaker: SAS Tripad SIMPLIFY in black croc or SAS METRO. They are "classic," definitely not fashionable. They are $125 a pop, but can go for under $50 on ebay.

Alternatively, you can do the "bar mitzvah across town trick"- wear sneaks for the walk and leave a nice pair of shoes at your destination to change into when you get there.

Good luck keeping your feet blister-free!

Tara rose flats are dressy and really comfortable. They are expensive, but you can find sales online.

My favorite comfy-yet-attractive shoes include Clark's and Hotter.

Leaving shoes at your destination is a good idea.

I wear SAS Freestyle. Terrific walking shoes. Expensive. My black pair looks "Rebbetzinny" (and indeed, my Rebbetzin wears them!) but my blue suede ones — same style — are cool and get a lot of compliments.

I ordered walking cradle heels on amazon, having never heard of them before, but they happened to sell the width I needed and were fairly cheap. Wow, I can wear them all day long with no issue. I'm on my feet at least 8 hours a day at work and they are super comfortable.

Clarks are usually good for a balance of comfy and nice-looking. Get fitted in a store if you can: then you can look online for other pairs for different prices. Amazon and 6pm often have them for decent amounts.
