I think machts eich greit, with a literal translation of get ready, has an exciting connotation.

how about:
greits eich tzu fleeun (get ready to fly)
greits eich tzu fooren (get ready to drive)
s'geit oif reder (literally "it's going on wheels" but means "things are moving/something exciting is happening)
s'dreit zich epes nei (something new is around, literally "something new is spinning/turning")
eta: maybe s'dreit zich epes nei oif'n gahs though that's maybe too long
