My DC has been waiting for this surgery for months and she woke up with a cold.
We are suppose to go for preop testing now and I cant reach the doctor. Should we just go to the testing and see what they say or keep trying to get the nurse to find out what to do.
It is a long drive and tolls to get to the hospital so I really dont know what to do.

The concern is usually breathing problems with the anesthesia. If it's just a small cold they will probably not send you home.

If you can't get through to the surgeon, call the hospital where the surgery will be performed and/or your pediatrician.
Wishing her a successful surgery and complete recovery.
