So here's the deal:
Were looking to relocate within the US but were stuck because we need somewhere:
Healthy and open-minded. We do not want all the shdus that goes on in the big cities (black hat, no hat, what shirt who cares!?)
Somewhere with great schools that really care
Somewhere that has some kind of Chassidish prescense because DH wears streimel on shabbos (but colorful sweaters in the week etc....) and I want our kids to see that as normal.
I also dont want to move somewhere that the class sizes are very small because it seems very limiting for the girls especially. So somewhere that has a nice size community.
Any ideas ladies?

Bayswater, my brothers wear Shtreimels on Shabbos and colored shirts in the weekday. It's a nice mix from what I hear.

Baltimore. Mostly OOT yeshivish but there's a wide range from MO to chassidish. Very accepting place with lots of choices. Also, neighborhoods are hashkafically mixed.

Oak park and southfield are where you'd want to be in the Detroit area. Housing is in the $150,000 range, more or less depending on house size and location. There are home rental options, which may be a good idea to start with so that you can get a good feel for the neighborhoods before buying.

Bayswater is in New York so you will get all the NY "shtus" and it's kind of the ugly step child of Far Rockaway...

I have alot of family living there and they dont see it like that!! A shame that someone from Far Rockaway would look at people there like that.

Baltimore, Passaic, and Edison are established but non-judgmental communities with great schools. You could also look into the Willowbrook section of Staten Island, which is also very non-judgmental, and where some Chassidim have recently been moving.
