Hi I need some help
I am not a great baker at all, and I need to make a honey cake for cheder for an upsherin. Can anyone guide me how I can decorate it without cream I.e. not something messy. Was thinking like making a stencil and then doing letters in chocolate but what should I cover the whole cake with? Do you think it would work to cover the whole top in powdered sugar and then pipe words with melted chocolate?
Also, last time I made a honey cake it sunk in the middle. How do I avoid this?
Thanks!!

How about a simple bundt cake with powdered sugar sprinkled on top?

Do you have a recipe for honey cake that would work in a bundt pan?

Sorry, I don't. I've only tried mine in loaf pans.
Perhaps if you search the popular honey cake threads here, posters may have mentioned if they tried them in bundt pans and how it worked.

I love the little sugar-spun decorations they sell in stores like Peppermill. You can make a simple icing (Confectionary sugar, cocoa and a drop of water and coffee, maybe a bit of oil) and pour it over then cake. Then, when the icing is still wet, you can stick on little aleph beis candies. Or even just simple colorful M and Ms.
