make/model/size of car don't matter as our kids are out of carseats and just in booster seats and we just have 2 kids and never travel. This is for going 1 to 20 miles-- mostly 4-7 miles on a daily basis---- no long trips, highway maybe once a month.

Automatic, 4 door. Other than that, size and type doesn't matter-- price does.

We need something much less expensive than our current lease and are willing to consider cars we've never before driven--- Kia, for example.

We're hoping for $100 a month with a teeny bit down ($1000 tops) or $150 a month with nothing down.....

We're in Cleveland but I THINK pricing on this stuff is pretty national?

Ideas? thanks.

And yes, we have a 99 Saturn (own) we can put in towards a down payment if we need to--- we'll probably share this car. our 2013 Honda Accord lease is up and the plan is to unload both cars and start fresh with just one if my husband continues to work walking distance from home.

I believe Kia and Hyundai are the most economical cars, and they have pretty good customer ratings, although you should ask a car dealer is any other makes are offering one time deals that may be comparable.

The leasing companies in Monsey/Brooklyn/Lakewood are very competitive. Call around and ask for their specials. You can pm me if you need names of companies.

(Not sure if they'll deliver to Cleveland.)

Look very carefully at Kias. When I was looking into their small cars (a couple of yrs ago) they had pretty bad crash test ratings. Their larger cars (SUVs and minivans are mostly 5-star rated though)
I think Hyundai has better ratings for their small cars.
