Making a kiddush for my new baby. What are pretty desserts to make? Trifle ideas and recipes? Mousses? Pretty cookies?

Everything served in indivudual portions looks good. Like small cakes, individual bowls of chocolate mousse, muffins,...
Fruit platters are also great.

Bar cookies, cut them into diamonds.
Mini cupcakes with cute toppings.
If you wil have salad, have a couple salads, not a salad bar. It doesn't get finished.
Vegetable sticks in a tall shot glass-or mousse cup- with a dip on the bottom.
Before the kiddush starts, slice and three slices of each cake, remove one slice to a plate. This insures that you won't be left with too much cake.
It's nice when there are healthy options.
For our kiddush, I got drinks that I like. I got only one bottle of Coke since we don't care for it.
