4 slices minute or club steak
2 medium onions, sliced into rings
8 cloves garlic sliced
1/4 cup semi dry red wine ( or any wine you can use for cooking

Spice rub:
1/4 cup good quality olive oil
2 1/2 tbsp. Fresh herbs or 1 tbsp dried herb (any herbs you have on hand, I use parsley and rosemary)
1 level tbsp kosher salt
1 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp onion powder
1 tsp paprika
1 tsp brown sugar
Dash of honey

Preheat oven to 300° F. Combine the spice rub ingredients in small bowl.
Layer the sliced onions in a 9x13 pan and sprinkle with salt, to taste. Rub the spice rub onto the steak, then spread in a single in the pan and drizzle with the remaining rub. Top with slices garlic and drizzle with wine. Cover the pan with foil and bake at 300° F for 2-3 hours.
Remove the pan from the oven and place on a trivet to cool. Do not open the foil! Keeping the pan sealed allows the escaping moisture to be reabsorbed into the meat.
Before serving, reheat in a 250° F oven just until heated through.

Never tried it ,but it's cooking low and slow , so it should be very tender. Also the wine will also tenderize it.
Let us know if it came out yummy.

Do you think I can prepare it. Freeze it. And bake at a future date. Sounds yummy for Pesach.

Minute steaks are not too thick. A roast usually takes 4 hours at 350

Do you think this can be frozen raw and ready to go into the oven with all its seasoning, wine, etc.

Has anyone tried this minute steak recipe? How did it come out? I don't cook this type of meat too often and have never done it in the oven, just on the stove. don't want to ruin it!
