It was fantastic. A+ production.
little warning though: it's basically a very sanitized/koshered version of Fiddler, so if you're from a super sheltered background or going with teenagers, be aware of what you're going to see. They did a great job kosherizing it, but there might be some people who will have issues with it.

5 stars. Outstanding !!
I think their best show yet - but yes caution needed for youngsters if you get flustered by more mature content.

Dont all rachels place productions have 'mature content' in them? Would you say it is rather so in this one than in Aldecot, English to a T, etc?

What did they do with the "Do you love me" song?

And is the theme (inevitability of assimilation) the same?

English to a T was also pretty sophisticated.
Yes they do "do you love me" - maybe changed a line or two .. That's one part of the sophistication - other part is yes, the assimilation.
The audience got both aspects and I personally think was perfectly appropriate, but I can hear how someone who is more sheltered would be concerned.

What was English to a T based on? Pygmalian?

They sang it! Bt I wonder if they'll leave it in for the DVD.

The assimilation theme wasn't as strong, since the story was changed around a bit so that the suitors weren't socialists / non jews.

I don't get how the story has any point then.

Was it about the girls finding love?

She most def. marries a non-Jew and is wrote off from the family- the Chava part of the play is exactly the same.

The First couple is the same as well- with a slight twist to it to kosherize it- very minimal change.
The second couple is the most changed, but again they made it in a way that it didn't really detract from the story.

They used the words "like" and "respect" more than love..

I was very surprised that they sang "Do you love me?" and I don't know - Chava did marry the [gentile], after all. Very well acted, btw! I just feel that they could have cleaned it up a bit more.
