Does anyone know of any daycare centers for infants in Teaneck area that don't cost an arm and a leg?
Just checked out one and it was 900 a month which is more than I would want to pay.
Any help would be much appreciated.

I'm not in Teaneck, but what sort of price-point are you looking for? Are you talking about 900 for full time care? I just quickly did that math and it amounts to about $5/hour. How much less were you looking to pay. Assuming an infant's room has 4 or maybe 5 children per teacher- it's not that much. The staff needs a salary besides for all the other expenses.

What about babysitters? Could that be cheaper?
Or someone who legally runs a daycare in her apt or something like that

I doubt you will find cheaper than that. It does not sound too bad at all honestly. I am in brooklyn and pay around 800 a month for my daughter. I send her to lady who rUNS a legal daycare in her house and I send 32 hours a week.

I send to a non-Jewish daycare and get a heavy discount through my employer. I pay $900/mo for infant care and that's significantly cheaper than all the Jewish options in Bergen County... I think $900 is probably the lowest you're gonna get unless you don't send full time.
