Why not? I had porcelain dolls growing up. I never understood their point, though, since you can't really PLAY with them, they just sit on the shelf looking creepy er... pretty.

I'm sure you will get different answers on ImaTalibanMom, but most people here will say it's fine.
She bears a disturbing resemblance to Chucky though:

Nothing to do with taliban. She's probably referring to it being an image form, pesel, like an idol. I don't know the answer but I guess you can ask a shaila.

Growing up my family owned really nice porcelain dolls. My father cut off the tip of one ear. It was a lesson for us about idols. He did the same to a chess set that had realistic faces.

Fyi- your doll in my opinion looks creepy and unreal. Ours were very different, they looked like mini kids.

That all depends on what you're planning on sacrificing to her.

Ask a shaila. There are differing opinions on what is considered a big enough p'gam to disqualify something from being a pesel.

If I were to invest in an art doll, I would want one of these.

The shading on the skin tone, and the antique French lace dresses are unbelievable! I love the soft, natural expressions. They remind me of 3-D paintings, instead of dolls.
