This makes no sense. You were invited to a Bar Mitzvah period. The fact is the Bar Mitzvah boy has a sibling with a birthday the same day and nothing more.
I have boy/girl twins and only my son had a Bar Mitzvah.

That's really thoughtful.
A jewelery box, a piece of jewelry (costume ), a personalized siddur.

Would be really nice if you buy for both! I would get her a book. It's her birthday too...

And your daughter didn't get any gifts?

Did you give him a gift at her Bat Mitzvah party last year?

They did not make a bas mitzvah party.

Two checks. One for the young man and one for his sister.
I usually give $18-$25 for a Bar Mitzvah gift (instead of another sefer he doesn't want/has already) unless I know the family and child very well and know definitively what he would want.
It's very special of you to think of the twin sister of the Bar Mitzvah boy in this way
ESPECIALLY if they didn't make a Bas Mitzvah party for her she will likely be feeling left out. IMHO it's not at all like other siblings of the Bar Mitzvah boy.

Yes, give 2 checks--one for each of them.
If she would have had a Bat Mitzvah party and if you had given just her a gift then, you could get away with giving just him a gift now.

No. She didn't get any gifts except from one of her friends who made her a wallet out of duct tape. I bought her a large sheet cake, and we took it home uncut because there was so much food and so much going on. We had a large blowout affair with hundreds of people, and my son got tons of gifts.
My daughter didn't care, nor did she feel left out. Why should she? She wasn't being bar mitzvahed.
The trick is that I never bought for one because I was buying for the other. They never had any expectations or jealousies.

I always give a check for bar/bat mitzvah gifts, the same for girls and boys.

Did you give her something last year? Give what you normally give for a birthday, give her brother what you normally give for a bar mitzvah.
