considering taking off 1-2 years of childcare leave from my government job. this means I am entitled to my position when I come back, but I obviously don't get paid, and I would be dropped from my (awesome) health insurance.
could people give me an idea of what private health insurance in new york could cost for a family of 4?
also, what is the name of the insurance, and are you happy with it?
not eligible for any government based health insurance programs
TIA!

If your looking for a good insurance , Oxford freedom would probably be your best bet .
I'm not familiar with the family plan costs though

Look into Cobra - you may be able to keep your insurance that you have, just pay for it.
