Our next door neighbor , an older woman who is married, needed help with a light bulb in her house. Her husband was at work and so she called us to see if we could help her. I was not home so teen ds went over to help her out. Wonderful right- yes, except for the fact that teen ds was worried about helping her because it could be yichud. Am I missing something here.. Is this normal for a teen to think of this kind of thing. I was happy he helped, but disappointed that he even had second thoughts about helping someone. I don't really think Hashem wants us not to help one another- feeling confused and a bit sad that helping someone was overshadowed by worrying about doing something wrong. any advice?

You should teach your kids to help people while keeping halachos. Your ds just needed to prop the front door open.
