never heard of bais hatorah but anyway ... I have 2 girls in bais faiga and I'm paying $10,000 for both. 1 Child is receiving a lot of extras and I am being charged for that. My son's tuition if over $6,000 and it keeps going up each year. Maybe OP meant playgroup tution is $3000? I never heard of tuition that low. Bais Faiga said that the lowest they charge is $4200 per child. It seems that it's only for a large family in a difficult situation. So without scholarships girls are close to $5,000 and boys are close to $7,000.

I apologize profusely if I wasn't clear . I wasn't talking about teachers salaries.
My son went to Bais ha Torah in Lakewood and was absolutely miserable. He got into fights daily because he wasn't challenged enough
The limudi chol was abysmal and BHT has a name for taking English seriously
He transferred to YNJ . The no child left behind law and a few generous sponsors helped me pay the 20k tuition
In 3 months he was a different child
He's been thriving ever since

I'm sorry you had a unique and difficult experience. As was pointed out that is not the norm. Your statement was unfair as it cast a slur against a huge community that is always getting slammed on this site. In the educational aspect, Lakewood is doing really well. I get paid peanuts yet I keep teaching because I love it and genuinely care for my students. And I see that amongst my colleagues and children's teachers as well.
I understand that our tuition costs are lower and therefore my pay is too. There are no ulterior motives involved. So I believe that in fact - you get more than what you pay for.
Apology accepted

I was actually wondering about Lakewood tuition prices. I just got my contract too and it's a lot for me to handle.
What are most people paying? What are most schools charging for full tuition these days? Who gets breaks?
Can I be enlightened?
