I'm on the shorter side and clothes from Torrid work great. They tend to be more fashionable than other plus size stores. I've had great luck with their dresses, skirts, and Blazers.

If you want trendy clothes you might luck out in lane Bryant. Its hit or miss. Or Catherine's. (btw, Catherine's stuff can be returned at a lane Bryant store).
