Hi any good recipes for meat on the stove for yomtov , (moist and soft with rich taste)??

Saute onions and garlic, then add the meat. Whatever sauce you use when you bake meat can be used on the stovetop, just add enough water to go halfway up the meat. You can always add more, or add wine or apple juice. Sometimes I use a can of crushed tomatoes or tomato sauce, 1/2 cup brown sugar, 3 T vinegar and water to cover, then simmer for a long time. Add baby potatoes and carrots if you like (that's a one pot meal), or raisins and dried apricots for a sweeter taste. Cook a day in advance, cool and slice, then reheat the sliced meat in the sauce.
