For all those of you who are not bothering to vote in the NY primary because you're registered as Democrats, you can change your party to Republican on the spot and vote via affidavit! I did it just before.
So go out and vote!

How did you find out you could do that? I keep reading that the New York change party deadline was in October. Does it mean the New York rules don't allow changing from Independent to Republican but do allow changing from Democrat to Republican?

I don't know about that, all I know is I was going to leave without voting when I found out my party, but then the election workers told me I could change it.
