I am going on the job market in a completely non jewish environment (health care-related field), so I'm sprucing up my LinkedIn, my professional bio, stuff like that. I'm wondering if I should put down my experience as a member of the Board in my shul. It definitely gives you experience in management and oversight, teamwork, etc etc, and I feel like it makes me a more qualified candidate. It would also make me stand out from other candidates, in a good way. But I don't want to come off as too much into my religion- in fact, I don't want to really get into my religion at all. On my resume, my board member status is buried at the bottom with the rest of my community service.
Do you think I should highlight this aspect of my qualifications?
