what is the best double stroller for an infant and a one year old? I like using a bassinet and car seat for the infant, while the 1 yr old needs to be able to lay flat if he is napping, and sitting up if he is awake.

Uppababy would be your best bet most probably. or you can get the city select and buy the bassinet as opposed to the uppababy that comes with it. (I dont know if you can use seat that comes with the uppababy and the bassinet or you have to buy a second seat.) tho the uppababy is very expensive and the citi select is cheaper but you would have to buy the bassinet seprately..

City mini gt double. I have the single and love it. I had the single bugaboo for my older one and the city mini gt has just as good a ride as the bugaboo

Valco baby snap duo is very comfy, lays flat and a really nice ride and it's super light - 24 pounds.

I have city select. Am very happy. Its much easier to get around in stores than with citi mini and others that are side by side. I have a car seat adapter for newborn and infant stage and always use that and seat it comes with reclines for 1 yr old. Would def reccomend I am very happy with it. Have it for 3.5 yrs. my kids are 5.5, 3.5 and 10 months.

I have a mountain buggy and I'm very happy with it. It's solidly built and strong. I've even transported three children in it. It's like a truck! I bought a bassinet for the infant. It is very heavy though so if you'll be in and out of a car often, it wouldn't be a smart purchase.

I agree about the Mountain Buggy. I have the old double, I put all five of my kids in it. ( not advisable for other tha desperate situations)
My friend has a Bumbleride, it looks really nice. She's very happy with it.

I see in reviews (don't remember if it was TRU or amazon) that the seat sits up a full 90 degrees. How far does it lean back? I see it says only 3 positions...

Thanks!

I agree with miri36. I have the valco ultra snap duo and use it for my baby and 1 1/2 year old. Lighweight, lays almost flat, easy to push. You can buy a car seat adapter or bassinet as well. I use it as is and love it. The canopy extends quite low to block out the sun.

This valco snap looks amazing! Can the double take a bassinet? I'm surprised more people don't have this stroller, it looks way better than the city mini.

I did a lot of research. It is a beautiful stroller and yes the canopy comes way down. I think you can get a bassinet which I was looking into but since I'm in and out of the car now, I didn't get one.
