For a while now I've been thinking about starting a blog. I envision a blog about my life as a Jewish mom, raising a family in a settlement in the West Bank - but mostly I'm thinking of targeting my blog at hasbarah, discussing Zionism, Israel, Judaism - combating anti-semitism, anti-Zionism etc. I want something that would reflect these things, something that is catchy and interesting.
Also if you have any tips about getting my word out there. I think I have a lot to contribute fighting the new-media battle against the extreme leftists out there. So if you know how to promote a blog please help me.

In terms of promoting the blog, my experience (though it was a little while ago so the blogosphere has changed) was that I got traffic by visiting and commenting on other blogs of similar focus. Get in on the discussion, and if you have something interesting to say or show up a lot, people will wonder who you are and click on you, and soon some of the other blogs that already have a following will promote you.
You can also submit to link-ups. I have to look it up, but there used to be a Jewish world regular blog carnival thing where you submitted a post or two in specific topic categories and someone different hosted it each month.
