Does anyone have a child with Apraxia? What did your child do for pre1a? How did your child manage with the kriah practice? Was the morah/rebbe understanding/accommodating? Help.

By the time we got to kriah my son was doing bh so much better. He kept up very nicely. His rebbe knew the kid has therapy for speech so whatever issues arose he dealt with the therapist.

My son speaks, but is still missing some significant sounds. He also tires easily when "forced" to talk.

My son learned to read before he could say all the sounds. When the teacher wanted to check if he could differentiate between the letters he couldn't pronounce properly, she would say a few sounds and ask him which one is the correct sound for that letter.
He couldn't say "sh" so his sin and shin sounded exactly alike. She would ask him to point to the sins, point to the shins, or tell me when I'm saying the right sound for this letter. Different things like that.
Once we knew he knew the correct sounds, we overlooked his pronunciation, as long as it was consistent with how he always pronounced that sound. I don't think he had a harder time learning Kriah than the other boys in his class.
