I want to make some cookies for my friend. She's making a upsherin on lag baomer. Anyone familiar with Royal icing here? I know there's the outline piping and then the flooding inside. What's the recipe for each one?

1 lb confectioners sugar
1 tbsp egg white powder or meringue powder
5 tbsp water.
For outline you want it thicker and for filling thinner, the difference is how much water/confectioners sugar you use.

You outline with a bit thicker icing, and then water it down a bit to fill in the outline
A good consistency for the outline is about 7-8 seconds fill is 2-3 seconds- meaning when you dip something into the icing and pull it out, the icing that drips off the spoon/other item disappears back into the icing in that time frame
