We are in desperate need of a few day getaway before shvuous. We had planned to do Miami but it just didn't work out. Anywhere we cud drive to from Brooklyn that is well priced? Ideally we need a vacation spot like a beach with the option of stuff to do around there. Minyan is a must, kosher food preferred. Tia

Next week is memorial weekend. Beaches will be crowded and more expensive if that isn't an issue for you than the Jersey shore has options.

Try Long Branch, NJ. It's near Deal. There are beaches there and Kosher places to eat.

is there any place I could search this place to get more info.........I also wudnt mind taking a vacation for a few days near Brooklyn sounds like a good idea

There is a hotel there that many frum people go to. They have a spa etc.. It's called Ocean Resort and Spa.

Try Godaven.com to see if there is a minyan there. Call the place before to verify minyan.

I've been there last spring. Beautiful but pricey. Minyanim nearby as well as kosher eateries

Cape Cod doesn't have a minyan this time of year. Newport could be lots of fun, but double-check with Touro synagogue to see their minyan status. Most beachside towns will be overrun with pritzus starting on Memorial Day, if that makes you uncomfortable. I think the closest minyan to Ocean Resort may be in Deal.

After memorial day (this Monday) everythign on the beach will be very pricey
I loved staying in Spring Lake. Deal isn't too far for minyanim, Lakewood is also about 25 minutes away. But like others said Beach will be packed with bathing suits and expensive.
