Shavuos recipes to freeze in advance

So I'm not someone who cooks in advance and freezes. Like ever. I have no idea what freezes well and what doesn't. But Beh I'm due in a week or so and it just hit me that I prob should plan and cook for shavuos now! Rolling Eyes

If anyone has easy freezable recipes (again I have no clue what freezes well!) either meat or dairy please share! It could be super simple, we most likely won't have guests and wer not too many ppl.

Good luck doing so much a week before your due date. I hope you will have some help and keep it simple.

Make a menu and then start cooking and freezing.
I like doing fleishig first - chickens\roasts\appetizers.
Then pareve sides
Then baking pareve
Then dairy mains
Then dairy desserts
This way the kitchen has one focus on the mess


Most baked chicken recipes freeze will. I like to bake fully and then freeze so I can take out on yom tov and just reheat.
Same with sliced meat in gravy.
Many kugels freeze well.
I think almost everything accept for fresh vegetables freeze well. Smile

Some examples of what I'm freezing.:
Onion Chicken Quarters
Coconut coated chicken cutlets
Pastrami chicken roll ups
Khishka stuffed Capons

Roasts - TBD

Chicken Wontons
Sweet Potato Pastrami Knishes (in malawach dough)
Potato Kugel
apple cobbler
vegetable linguini

Chicken Soup
Butternut Squash soup
Matzah balls

eggplant parm
stuffed manicotti
quiche
cheese cake
dairy babka
blintzes
blueberry sauce

bundt cake
ice cream dessert
Pear buns

Thanks for the ideas!

I'm thinking of making stuffed shells. Do u think I should freeze it before baking or after?

Orzo and kraut lukshen great sides that freeze well. Pickled and regular roasts. Chicken soup even cholent

Sky, do u think chicken wontons would get soggy if cooked, frozen, then heated on a hot plate?
Also do u have a good diary bobka recipe?

wontons - I don't think so - I'm going to reheat uncovered in an oven on low heat.

I have to find the recipe. I think it is from the BY cookbook.

Its the baby cheese babka.

It makes a LOT. When making the full recipe I find I only need 1/2 the filling and topping.
It also goes a lot faster to bake it in loaf pans like babka instead of buns.

They are soo good.

YES, the baby cheese babka in the BY Cookbook makes a TON. I made a full recipe it in two bundt pans and it overflowed and baked into the bottom of my oven and set off all the smoke alarms... fun times, fun times.

Delicious, and even just the babka I salvaged lasted us for WEEKS afterwards.

Oh! Are they delicious!!! This recipe is a real winner!! I make it every year and never have enough if it!! I do make it I. Rugalech which I don't find so hard cause I roll one long strip as in a babka and just cut 1 1-2 inches thick prices and place them upward in cup cake papers (like the recipe suggests)
