My son's birthday party is tomorrow (day off from school). He wants pizza, and we cannot get kosher pizza here. I know how to make dough, but it is always a big to-do. Do you think it would be weird to serve matza pizza? We have some vegans coming; I know they like "pizza without cheese," that is, crust and sauce. I don't know if just matzo heated with sauce would appeal to them. What do you think?

I can easily make or serve something else, if this sounds odd.

FYI, except for the vegans, none of the guests will be Jewish.

I say do something else then,if you dont want to either make homemade dough or buy the already made pizza crusts in the grocery.

Can you get kosher breads? I'd rather serve pizza bagels, pizza english muffins, pizza rolls... pizza anything over matzo. Pita bread can make a good base for mini pizzas.

My pizza dough recipe is extremely easy. You just mix all the ingredients together and roll it out. It doesn't taste like pizza from the pizza shop, but it's delicious and much better than matza pizza. Especially if your guests are not Jewish, I can't imagine they will enjoy it.

Can you get pita or bagels? Even frozen bagels, or those ready made crusts.
Also, why not add vegetables to the vegan pizza?

noooooooo! matza pizza is barely edible on pesach.

I'd rather have "bread pizza" than matza pizza!

Matzah and sauce? No.

Can you get any other kind of bread to make pizza?

Pita pizzas. The kids will have fun if you do make-your-own, and love getting individual ones.

Pita pizzas are a great idea, my kids love them and they're so easy. They also like pizza made out of wraps.

Tortillas as the base. You could get the mini ones and put out a bunch of different toppings (peppers, corn, olives, pineapple etc) and let the kids make their own pizza. If it has what they want in on it and they made it, they'll eat it! And bonus, another activity for the party!
