I bought a "pickled" tongue only to realize in middle of cooking that it's not pickled. What can I do now? How do I make it have a taste?

Add cut garlic cloves, bay leaves and nice amount of salt to the water it's cooking in now.
Then make a flavorful sauce to drizzle over the slices.

you can buy a jar of 'pickling spices' boil for two hours ... take the skin off after
or if you have on hand: coriander seeds, bay leaves, pepper corns, garlic

You can make a wonderful sauce for it. I have the classic tongue Polonaise if you want the recipe.
