When I was in highschool I would help a neighbor of ours every day with her kids . I would put them to bed while she spent time at my house enjoying some down time. I also did errands for her etc and took her kids to the park...I never expected any form of payment. At the end of my 9th grade year she and her husband gave me a gold ring with colored stones in it...I still have it more than 20 yrs later. It meant ALOT to me. I grew up without any jewelry so this was a really special gift for me, something I treasure until this day.
