This weeks Tachlis has a recipe that calls for 1 cup of beef consomme. Does anyone know where I can purchase such a thing? Thanks!

Gourmet Glatt and Breadberry sell beef broth in cartons.
Manichewitz, Tabatchkick are some of the brands. Imagine makes MSG free version.

Or you can just dissolve a tablespoon of beef soup mix in a cup of boiling water and use that.
ETA: I wish recipes didn't call for consomme when they mean broth. Someone told me she dumped in a cup of consomme aka powdered soup mix.

Thanks so much for the info ra_mom! Would you happen to know if the beef broth is found in the refrigerated aisle or would it be next to the canned soups maybe? I just took a look at the recipe and saw it also has sesame oil, which I never knew existed, and I have no idea where to find that ingredient.

The beef broth cartons would be on the shelf, near the canned soup.
The sesame oil would be near the balsamic vinegar and such. Make sure to get the toasted sesame oil which is very flavorful. It comes in a dark small bottle.
