I dont know where you are located but I am in Brooklyn and when we moved my husband got boxes for free from wine stores or you can buy boxes for a very good price from Moishas.

We mostly used grocery store boxes. We also went around to local stores and asked them for boxes that they were throwing out. Not worth the money to buy boxes. Only thing that might be worth buying are the wardrobe boxes. B'"H we were lucky and able to get from someone else who had just moved.

We got these great huge bins from a gemach. It was sturdy and fit so much more than a regular box. Plus we didn't need to tape them.
