On some of these, one outside compressor can power several individual room units. Mini-splits are a good option for retrofits where nobody ever planned for for A/C, and for additions when it's impractical to add on to an existing central A/C.

Has anyone in Israel installed one of these in the mamad? If so, how expensive was it, with labor and everything?
Our mamad gets so hot, that if a siren went off, we'd actually be safer staying OUT of it!

I don't have a mamad, but I thought that you couldn't drill holes in the walls of a mamad, even for a telephone line.
I know people who put ceiling fans in their mamad for this reason.
