Looking for good books for my 3 year old, who has the patience to sit through a story. I'd love to get some recommendations of books good for that age!

P.S. We already have tons of Dr. Seuss.

little bear books
frog and toad books
a fish out of water
richard scarry books
the magic fish by freya littledale...look for the edition illustrated by ed arno. worth the effort.
if he can sit for longer stories, look for the little house, mike mulligan and his steam shovel, and anything by robert mcCloskey
if you dont mind books with potentially troubling events, tikki tikki tembo (child falling in a well, he survives) and the five chinese brothers (child goes out to sea and doesnt come back, man is imprisoned and sentenced to death but :::spoiler alert::: outwits the judge. my kids loved it)
lyle lyle crocodile
madeline
theres a nightmare in my closet
berenstain bears

Thanks so much for the suggestions! We already have some of those books, but there were some I wasn't familiar with before (like Mo Willems - those books look great!).

Curious George was a great suggestion. We do have one Curious George books which she loved to pieces last year (yes, it is literally in pieces) - I should definitely get her more.

I loved the book Tikki Tikki Tembo when I was little! She may not be ready for the 5 Chinese Brothers yet, because I think she might need to be a little older to get the plot points. Mike Mulligan was also a favorite when I was little! Your other suggestions were good too.

Corduroy is also a great suggestion (and we already have several of the other books on that list, so you definitely got what we're looking for!)

P.S. My 3 year old is a girl. I actually left it out on purpose because I didn't want the suggestions to be too gender-biased. She likes a wide range of topics and I want to make sure that sticks too (I'm not against girly-ish books though - one of her favorites is 'Pinkalicious'. But we also have books about bugs).
