Uch, no! No soup from after pesach. We start again rosh hashana or sukkos (depending on how early it falls)
Dinner is always a main and 2 sides: 1 carb and 1 veg or salad
Example, Tonight: leftover roast from Shabbos, leftover Apple kugel from shabbos, and salad
We never go hungry

Yes, I do. DH can and will eat soup any time of year or day. Does that make him a soup nut? (Ducking rotten tomatoes and other missiles.)

I don't feel that just a main course is enough, for myself maybe yes, but definitely not for dh!!

We're also soup family around the year, but then again it's below 20c in the evenings. If not soup, we usually have a simple salad or veggie sticks with hummus.

yum I love soup all year long, but I agree with cnc- a salad is a good substitute if you feel like it's too hot. Or even cut up veggies with dip/hummus and maybe toasted pitas/pita chips as well.

DH could eat hot soup every day no matter what the temperature outside.
We never do more than one course during the week though. We have protein, starch, and vegetable(s). If anyone is still hungry afterwards there is always fruit.
I only serve soup during the week if someone is sick, if the weather is really lousy, or if it's the main course.
I do make soup for shabbos though, both Friday night and in the crockpot for lunch. I can only eat it if I haven't gone outside in the heat. DH happily eats two bowls even if it's 100 degrees outside and he's wearing his wool tzitzis under a suit. I really don't get that!

I serve soup as a main course for dinner all year around. It's filling, easy, and cheap.

I love soup but make it more in the winter.
Years ago in camp our cook was an older man from Israel. And he always served hot soup for lunch. he said that eating hot foods on a hot day helps your body feel better. We all believed him thinking he was from Israel where it is so hot so he must now.
Looking back I think he told us that to convince us to fill up on the soup...

Grilled cheese and tomato soup was the rainy day lunch at camp when I was a kid. It's still my favorite. As long as the air conditioning is on, we eat soup for dinner some times.

I don't do it in the summer - I could honestly eat hot soup at any time but DH typically won't eat it after Pesach. I'm thinking of trying some of these more summer-y, chilled soups I've been seeing around though!
