Building a new kitchen in a new home.
Now I have GE, and don't like it at all.
All the bins in the fridge cracked
The oven glass cracked
The gasket burned
The Sabbath mode is on recall because the fan turns on and off every time you open the door.
These appliances are only 7 yrs old.
Just poor quality all around.

I need
Refrigerator
Freezer
Double oven (electric)
Warming drawer
Cooktop (electric)
Dishwasher

I'm on a budget, but it's pretty reasonable, middle of the road.

If you are happy with your appliances please let me know

Just out of curiousity, why do you prefer electric cooktops over gas?

I wish I could have gas.
The city I live in only allows electric

I've been looking at kitchen aid.
Does anyone here know if their kitchen appliances are any good.
They are reasonably priced

My MIL had a kitchenaid double oven/gas range that was very expensive and kept breaking as soon as she received it.

For refrigerator and freezer, I'd recommend Frigidaire.

I'm thinking of getting fridgidaire pro refrigerator column and separate freezer column.

Now I'm looking for double wall oven, separate warming drawer, cooktop and dishwasher.

I do like the appliances to match, BUT QUALITY IS Much more important to me.

I have a maytag dishwasher and I am very happy with it. Was not very expensive and it does a great job.
I hate my whirlpool double ovens
Maytag cooktop is ok but does not clean well. Looks stained all the time.
If you're looking for a side by side fridge I am very happy with my frigidare.

Here is the refrigerator and freezer I'm planning to get.
http://www.brandsmartusa.com/f.....r.htm

I was planning on kitchen aid for the double oven, but I'm seeing horrible reviews.

Everyone complains about the glass shattering, the self cleaning mode not working, the ceramic inside cracking and pealing.
So this choice is out.

I need to find something by the end of this week, to be able to move in on time.

If you've re-done your kitchen, and/or, bought appliances in the last 5 yrs and are SUPER happy with your oven choice, please let me know.

Also looking for dishwasher and cooktop.

I bought new appliances lately. Almost did the Frigidaire side by side fridge /freezer, but got such bad reviews on it from people who actually had it. Same with Electrolux. Saw it by someone who had it less than two years, alot of broken pieces. No small children and she happens to be an excellent housekeeper.

I have the Frigidaire fridge/freezer op wants in my garage.
I got both pieces for $1200 because the freezer had a dent on the side.
I have them over 2 yrs. I love them it gives me a lot of room, no bins cracked nor broke. I wish I had room in my kitchen for them.
The one in the kitchen, GE, not very good quality. Most of the bins broke, and I had to have the center panel replaced from French Door fridge. Also, doesn't make ice fast enough.

Thanks
I have a GE range now.
But I bought one on the lower end of prices. May be a higher end GE oven will be better quality

Does it have a Shabbat mode that works?
My GE range has a Shabbat mode, but when I open the door the fan stops, and when I close it the fan turns on again. I had to put a Shabbat switch to keep the little switch down, so the oven thinks the door is still closed. sometimes the heat melts the sticky part of the switch and the switch falls off. Had someone come out to look at it, but could not do anything about it.

Does it heat evenly?
Mine doesn't if I don't watch what's in the oven and rotate the tray, 1/2 the food would burn.

Does the convection work?
Mine doesn't heat to the temperature I put it at. If I put it at 350, it only heats to 325, but when I put an oven thermometer inside, it's actually 300.

How is the self cleaning?
Mine is hit or miss, sometimes it does a great job, other times so-so.
One time it cracked the glass.

Really want a reliable oven.

Anyone else have a double oven they love.

I'm only using mine a couple of months. It does have a Shabbos mode but tbh I haven't used it yet. The temperature is even. I bake quite a bit in both and really like it. I have cleaned it myself haven't self cleaned it yet. But somebody in the family has it for two years and has no problems with it. Loves it

Just read somewhere that you can't put both ovens on Shabbat Mode at the same time. So, if this is true, GE is out.
