does anyone know a place we can get a car for a decent price? prefer honda, toyota, nissan but will look into others...years between 2004-2010....under 10k....

Try cars.com and carguru.com and search your area. I got a car last week on carguru.com for 8k and it was a 2010 Toyota. You have to know a bit about cars but I find that with a private seller (not a dealer) you can get much better deals. But again, you gotta know a bit about cars.
